Field notes | Shrub to 1.5 m high at this time. Palmate lobed leaves dark green above and paler below. Cut petioles exude a milky sap. Perianth white and pale green with 2 purple longitudinal streaks in each of the 5 lobes. Male flowers with 10 stamens, pollen butter yellow and filaments white. Seeds pale brown with small darker brown patches. |

Occurrence remarks | Locally common (8 small naturalised plants in the front garden and a few in the back garden). Previously there were 2 shrubs in the front yard that were removed in 2010 and four in the back yard that were removed in 2013, the highest shrubs being around 5 m high. Plants are still emerging from seed in the back and front gardens. Occasional plants are also growing in small gaps between pavers. |
