Occurrence remarks The brushes vary from lilac-pink to magenta. It seems to be the dominant "form" at that creek although here and there were isolated shrubs of "normal" Callistemon citrinus with red filaments. The enclosed form is just begining to flower, whilst the few with red filaments are in full bloom. The fruit seemed to be identical on both kinds but the leaves on the normal C. citrinus were a little larger than on the pink-magenta shrubs. Unfortunately all the blossums were being attacked by caterpillars.
