Occurrence remarks Small tree 4m x 9 cm dbh on stream bank. Bark flaky. Dead bark layer thin, brown with grey layer just before greenish subrhytidome. Outer blaze creamish layer underneath subrhytidome. Inner blaze pink (?brownish) fibrous. Blaze has an apple smell. Flowers: cream filaments 1.5 times length of calyx tube. Denser cream anthers. Petals cream, slightly yellowish. Inside of calyx tube yellowish. Calyx lobes pink, especially round edges. Calyx tube bronze green outside. Buds: olive to bronzy green calyx tube with lobes lighter more creamy colour. Corolla creamish. Fruit: a glossy brown red fleshy fruit on maturity (cherry-like). Two seeds per fruit. Edible but taste on neutral side. Buds, flowers and fruit in FAA. Tree
