Occurrence remarks Cotyledons oblong, green. Stems square in cross-section, one seedling with winged stem, all glaucous. Leaves always petiolate (petioles 0.8-1 cm), opposite for 4-7 nodes then becoming alternate, ovate, 4-6.5 cm long, (1.6)2-3.5 cm wide, base tapering, apex bluntly pointed or rounded, lamina dull, glaucous over grey-green, concolorous. Lignotuber obvious at node 1.
