Disposition | in collection |
Occurrence remarks | Used by [American] Indians to stupefy fish in small streams and as an arrow poison. Sheep have occasionally been killed by it in California. The mat of hairs covering the leaves and stems may when eaten form solid indigestible balls in the alimentary tract. Probably death is caused by mechanical injury rather than by toxic substances.
