Field notes Leaves rising through water, bending at surface and trailing on the surface in the gently flowing water; not losing contact with the water; dark glossy-green above, paler beneath; thinly plano-convex in transverse section. Stems erect in bud and flower, falling to a reclining position when fruits get too heavy. Fruits dark green or maroon-green (varies); pedicels cream- green or sometimes tinged maroon; rachis pale whitish-creamish-green. Note small distance between successive flowers (cf. HIA 2701).
