Field notes Culms and spikes semi-erect, emergent. Leaves glossy dark green above, a little paler beneath, bending at the water surface and then floating on surface, not looped above surface. Culms and rachis light green. Fruits green, strongly twisted. Leaf thin, plano-convex in transverse section, with sheaths not extending to midline. Tubers many, elongated. Leaf: 2 m long (including sheath 46 cm long); 35 mm maximum width across area of the sheath, including sheath opened out flat, and 18mm max. width across blade. Another leaf: 175 cm
