Organism remarks | Stalked, +/- globose, covered in light brown debris with a sprinkling of shiny black marks where the peridium peeks through the debris, and a debris free shiny olivaceous-grey peridial line (? circumsissile dehiscence) where the base of the sporocyst connects with a short cup like extension of the stalk, 0.08-0.14 mm diameter, in loose groups. Peridium ?single, by TL pale grey, inner surface papillate in short sinuous lines. Stalk to 50% total height, occasionally very minute, thin, 20-40 um diameter, erect, orange-brown, filled with debris, extends upward and forms a shallow cup at the base of sporocyst, and extending onto the substrate forming a small hypothallus. Spores in mass light olivaceous-grey; spores by TL pale grey, almost colourless, small section thinner walled and paler, smooth, mostly oblong 8-10.5 um x 9.5-12 um, or globose 9-11 um diameter. |
Occurrence remarks | Substrate: bark of live old branch of Acacia sp. laying on the ground. Bark from top surface flaking off the log. Gravelly, red-brown clay-loam. |
