Habitat Open Maireana shrubland with low, often dense herbaceous understorey, on flat in Acacia aneura woodland. Soil red sand loam with considerable clay content, quite hard in places. With Helipterum floribundum, H. australe, Rutidosis helichrysoides, Actinobole uliginosum, etc.
