Occurrence remarks Sessile sporocarps, subglobose, more often wider than high, on a constricted base, angular and conspicuously plated with ridges, or smoother or wrinkled with little evidence of plates, shiny, dark brown or olivaceous brown, 0.06-0.24 mm diameter, gregarious. Peridium coriaceous, inner surface orange-brown, by TL ochraceous, papillate, contains debris, debris scanty near the plate edges, plates borded by a row of warts, warts may be conspicuous and close or less conspicuous and isolated. Spore mass drab brown; by TL ochraceous-brown with a paler section, thick-walled except for paler area, densely minutely warted with a few larger warts, 11-12 um diameter. Moist chamber prepared 9/7/2019, harvested 3/8/2019, pH of soak water 5.8.
