Field notes Locally common (about 20 plants to 3 m high, none cone-bearing yet) naturalised tree to 3 m high at this time (adult planted tree about 12 m high). Bark grey, becoming thicker and darker with age. Outer branchlets c. 1 mm wide. Foliage pale green. Branchlets spreading in all directions. Cones globular, green to brown, to 1.5 cm long and to 1.5 cm wide.
