Occurrence remarks Single naturalised shrub 3 m high. Older bark pale brown, younger bark red-brown. Leaves commonly in whorls of 3. Leaves discolorous, paler below, margin dentate. Flowers with 4 red sepals with warty growths, 4 purple imbricate petals, 8 pink exserted stamen filaments of variable length with dark purple anthers and appearing to have 2 styles.
