Occurrence remarks A couple of clumps of naturalised flowering adult shrubs to 4.5 m high and scattered juvenile shrubs nearby. Leaves with serrated margins; young leaves shiny green above, paler below, petioles light green; older leaves dark green above,. paler below; petioles red. Stipules caducous, narrow-triangular with irregular small teeth, present at base of youngest leaves. Inflorescence an axillary raceme of many flowers. Flowers pleasant smelling, with 5–8 white petals that dry with distinct brown veins, stamens c. 20.
