Occurrence remarks Scrambling, twining vine with cylindrical stems. Leaves light green, paler beneath. Cercospora leaf spots present on many mature leaves. Older stems variously hairy. Roots at nodes. Flowers in axillary clusters, florets small, white. Widespread weed of roadside and forest marhins around Madang. At this site infesting understorey of coconut plantation. Abundance has increased since felling of diseased coconuts since June 2008. NAQS target weed. Collected as part of the Northern Australia Quarantine Strategy. This specimen has been treated with ethanol and gamma irradiated @ 25 KGy for quarantine purposes. Vine
