Organism remarks | Stipitate, cylindric, obtuse apex, dark grey, iridescent bronze, purplish and blue, 0.32-0.4 mm diameter, total height 0.6-1.2 mm, gregarious. Stalk white, calcareous, short, stout, widening at attachment to substrate, c. 1/4-1/3 total height. Plasmodium cream. Hypothallus not present. Peridium persistent, membranous. Columella an extension of the stalk, tapering, blunt, almost reaching top of sporangia. Capillitium dense, emerging from entire length of columella, branching, anastomosing, grey, often pale grey at the expanded nodes and at extremities. Spore mass dark brown; spores by TL dark grey, minutely densely warted, 8.5-9.5 um diameter. |
