Occurrence remarks Localy occasional. Decumbent spreading shrub to c. 25 cm high. Flowers 6-8 cm across. Petaloids yellow, tinged rose towards base, 2.4-2.8 cm across, 3-3.5 cm long. Sepaloids greenish, tinged purplish red. Style, stigmas, filaments and anthers yellow. Ovary 3.5-4 cm long, c. 1.5 cm across. Flowering pads c. 1 cm thick. Areoles spaced c. 2 cm apart. Occasional long spines present.
