Occurrence remarks Perennial herb to 60 cm high (last years growth (now dead) to 1 m high). Stems with crisped multicellular hairs. Leaves dark green above, grey-green below, to 10 cm long and to 4 cm wide, both surfaces with crisped multicellular hairs that are more frequent on the lower surface, leaves near inflorescence smaller than lower leaves, all leaves lobed or toothed. Heads non-radiate with 12 or 13 involucral bracts. Visible parts of florets golden; outer florets tubular and 4-lobed with narrower lobes than inner florets; inner florets tubular and 5-lobed
