Field notes Leaves, simple denticulate, whorled, with gradular dots. Inflor[escence] simple, axillary flowers. Flowers, calyx 4 free hypognous, corolla 2, united into a short tube, caducous hairs arise from inner surface. Stamens 4 free, alternate with petals - hypogynous. Ovary 2 or 4 carpels, style and stigma single, ovary maybe 2 celled. Fruit - a capsule dehiscing by 4 valves - probably 2 seeded.
