Occurrence remarks | Locally common (hundreds of plants) branched herb to 12 cm high. Roots pale brown, almost white. Stems brown with short white non glandular hairs and longer white gland-tipped hairs. Leaves opposite, mid green, glabrous above and with gland-tipped white hairs on leaf margins and on lower surface. Sepals 5, green at flowering with white gland-tipped hairs and membranous margins. Petals 5, white and shorter than sepals. Stamens 5, filaments white and anthers pink. Ovary with 3 white styles. Capsules green initially but brown with 5 apical teeth when open.
