Occurrence remarks | Mistletoe with epicortical runners, spreading to form large clump, dense with foliage 1.5-2 m long/wide, compact. Leaves ovoid to obovate-elliptic, discolourous shiny on upper surface, mid-green, glaucous, pale green below (undersurface). Midrid raised proximally, sunken distally. Leaves stiff and leathery. Leaf margins partially recurved on older leaves. Several mistletoes on this host plant. No resemblance, poor crypsis. Also growing on {Melaleuca bracteata}? (too high to know). {Melaleuca bracteata} with {Notothixos incanus, Amyema congener} with {N. subaureus} hyperparasite also present at this location. Growing on POD275b, {Apananthe philippensis}. Nature of sample: leaf material. Purpose: DNA extraction. Person: Sarah Mathews. Date: July 2019. Inst./Country: CANB. |
