Organism remarks | Main distinctive features: (i) small trumpet-shaped discs on stalks; (ii) stalks buried in sand; (iii) yellowish (variable) on top, paler pinker yellow under surface; (iv) flatten out and with often wavy margins when mature, particularly when in contact with others. Cap: trumpet-shaped discs on stems. Yellow, darker than OAC 812 (between 803 & 810), youngest a little paler and more yellow (812). Underside and stem paler pinker yellow OAC 793. Rounder cups when single, more irregular when in contact with others. Flattened discs when older, shallow cup-like when young. Raised margin - slight. Partial veil: nil. Ranging in size from minute to 10 x 9.5 mm cap / 10 mm high. Odour: none. Micro: asci dextrinoid, 178 x 10 microns. Spores: inamyloid/non-dextrinoid, 1-2 large oil globules plus smaller ones in many. Spore size e.g. 14.2-20 x 6.2-8.4 microns. |
