Field notes Small tree or mallee to 8m, all plants growing from lignotubers, some very large. Flowers creamy white, Fruits distinctly campanulate, green maturing brown. Buds in 3s. Bark coppery orange, weathering grey, older bark shedding in ribbons to ground.

Supplied as "Open woodland on rocky mountain spur. Plants typically in skeletal soils amongst granite outcrops on top of spur, predominantly on NW face, but some larger plants on SE face also. Soils dark sands on granite. With Eucalyptus albens, E. goniocalyx, E. nortonii, Acacia doratoxylon, A. boormanii, A. rubida, Callitris endlicheri, Olearia iodochroa, Philotheca trachyphylla, Ozothamnus sp."
