Locality | Cape Barren Island, Bass Strait. On the northern spur of Home Hill at about 1.530 kms at 9.25 degrees from its summit. 13 - 17 m west-south-west of the centre of Rooks River Road. |
Habitat |
Supplied as "On a slope which carried {Melaleuca ericifolia} (main) and {Leptospermum laevigatum} (minor), when burnt in early October 2006. It now has {Senecio biserratus} (c. 30%) over seedlings of {L. laevigatum} and {Bursaria spinosa}, plus {M. ericifolia} suckers. The main ground cover is {Dichondra repens} and 13 of the other 27 herbs are exotics. The other herbs include {Trifolium subterraneum}, {Isolepis marginata}, {Muehlenbeckia australis}, {Gamochaeta purpurea}, {Aira caryophyllea}, {Carduus} sp. (immature), {Trifolium dubium}, {Geranium potentilloides}, {Solanum vescum} and {Trifolium campestre}. By November 2008 the major dominant was {Apalochlamys spectabilis} but all were dead by late November 2009. The Ranga Association soil (ex calcarenite) carried rough pasture in the 1950s." |
