Field notes | Plants forming low, rather dense, stocky mounds to 25 cm tall, 30 cm diameter. Leaves lime green; flowers c. 5 cm diameter, ligules mauve purple, to 20 x 5 mm; fruiting head ovoid, hard; fruit held tightly within bracts. |
Occurrence remarks | Seed collected. c. 20 plants scattered over area c. 50 m diameter. Field work to collect propagation material for Australian Garden development at Royal Botanic Gardens, Cranbourne, supported by the Maud Gibson Trust. |
