Occurrence remarks Tree to 8 m high. Lower bark dark grey to black, consisting of overlapping scales; higher bark grey and smooth and uppermost bark green and smooth. Leaves imparipinnate, leaflets mid to dark green. Sap is aromatic. Trees dioecious, this material from a male tree. Flowers with 5 green calyx lobes, 5 white petals, 10 stamens. Stamens with white filaments (lengths the same or variable) and yellow anthers.
