Field notes Flowers medium size, blue on bracteose stems, mostly single at end of steam sometimes a smaller single flower or when stem branched up to 4 flowers on slender long peds, calyx becoming very ridged. Leaves mostly linear, or broad to narrow lanceolar, blunt pointed strong mid rib, sometimes revolute, or appressed towards base then crowded, sometimes short stalked or keeled.
