Occurrence remarks | Mat forming and rooting along horizontal stems but with large numbers of erect stems to 50 cm high. Stems, fruit and calyx softly hairy. Stems 4-angled, brown-green to green. Fruit in pairs; each fruit spindle shaped, to 23 cm long and to 2 cm wide. Sepals 5 and immediately below paired fruit. Seeds with white hairs at one end. A few flower buds were seen in the area at this time. Spread over many areas in the Lightning Ridge opal fields - scattered over > 1 ha in collection area. |
