Occurrence remarks | Tree to 6 m high (parent tree cone-shaped and 18 m high). Two naturalised trees with fruit. Adult bark grey, in veritically furrowed sheets, brown underbark visible in furrows. Juvenile bark grey, not grooved and with lenticels and raised lateral striping. Leaves and branchlets in one plain. Leaves appressed to stems, mid green with resin spots in middle of leaves, appearing silvery between leaves. Young fruit glaucous and with 7 faces. Open fruit brown, retained on tree on earlier growth than where newer cones are found. Brown pollen cones containing tan pollen-containing structures, at tips of branchlets. (7 plants from 1 m high, up to 40 m from parent planted tree). |
