Occurrence remarks | Climber. Perianth bright red. A ring of deep red filamentous appendages surrounding a deep red tube which encloses the base of the androgynophore. Ovary green. Anthers 5, yellow or green filaments. Stigma lobes 3, with green stigma pads on red style. Staminal column pink. Young flowers rich pink, turning bright red as they open. Leaves with 2 green glands on petiole just below blade insertion. |
