Occurrence remarks Semi-rrect, rhizatomous, creeping, multi-stemmed succulent herb to 40 cm tall. Leaves with dense indumentum while young and becoming sparse with age; rhubarb smell when crushed and juices are the colour of iodine. Racemes with approximately 6 flowerse per verticillaster. Corolla pale blue-mauve, lateral lobes with white on midrib bordered by darker mauve, filiments and pistil pale mauve, anthers blue and senescing to cream colour, pollen white.
