Occurrence remarks [Oldfield collected in WA 1859-60.] Seen by Bentham. Forest Research Institute, Canberra. Neg No 1867, 25 Mar 1976. Tree 80-100 ft high, branching at two-thirds of height. The trunk generally swells out suddenly near the ground, forming a kind of pedestal. Bark smooth, white; decortication by long, chartaceous pieces.
