Occurrence remarks Straggly cactus to 2m. Woody stems to 8cm diameter. Green stems to 4cm diameter, covered in small smoothed ribs ca 4cm long, 0.75cm high. Ribs spiralling around stem axis. Thorns 1-3cm, in stellate formation at apical end of ribs. AMRAD voucher.
