Occurrence remarks | Trees up to 50 ft [15 m] high, usually 20-30 ft [6-9 m]. Bark rough, loose in short curly flakes 1-3 in. long and about 1 in -- separating from the permanent bark which is somewhat loosely interwoven, dark brown on trunk, gradually passing into smooth dark green on the branches beneath short curly flakes. Perhaps trees commencing to shed bark. |
